Happy Friday everyone! I cannot believe tomorrow is June 1st already. So much has happened over this past month. I finished my last finals in school, I graduated college, and I finished my internship that I have been working at for the past year. Now, it’s just nice to be enjoying some time off (and working on my blog of course!). Something that has also happened this past month is I have gotten really into Instagram. I have been using it for many months, but not taking many pictures. But I have certainly gotten hooked over the past few weeks in how I love just taking and sharing quick pics. If you have Instagram, follow me here. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
The first time I remember having Crème Brûlée was when I was 10 years old and it was my family’s first trip to Europe together. While in Paris we went to dinner and we ordered crème brûlée for dessert. I still remember this interesting, creamy dessert that had a very sugary taste. Most recently, I had crème brûlée (seen here) and it brought me back to that restaurant in Paris and decided I wanted to create this recipe for myself and honestly, I was stunned at how amazing it turned out!
My favorite thing about this entire look has to be the shoes. I remember when I first saw these online a few years ago., it was love at first sight. I adore the beads and stones that give them a very “earthy” look and feel. They are my go to sandals for summer since they go with pretty much anything: shorts, jeans, or dresses.
It has been a long time coming, but I finally have a Cambridge Satchel Company bag! I had been going back and forth over this satchel for some time, mainly due to the fact that I could never decide what size and color I wanted; there are simply too many choices! Finally, a few weeks ago at the Shopbop sale, I was presented with this great deal on the bag that I simply could not resist. Its yellow color and design make it such a great statement piece, which is something I absolutely need in my purse collection.
It’s wonderful having the day off to spend with family and friends doing fun activities together. Two of my favorite things to do is having a barbecue, which I will be partaking in today, or going to the beach. Unfortunately, I do not live around a beach, so a barbecue is a must! For each activity, I think it’s important to keep it simple. When out in the hot sun, you want to be comfortable to enjoy the company you are in and what you will be doing. I hope you all have a fabulous day and please remember all those that have served.
